As a new collector without a TCR, I use a couple of approaches. First, I'm trying to fill holes in my currents. With the current in-limbo status of the Horseshoe and a desire to pick up relatively recent, fairly common chips, it's not overly necessary to look everything up. Also, I use Mr. Campiglia's book as a resource. So far I haven't run into too much trouble. I also bug Will Knight and Wayne Murphy perhaps more than they'd like.

I will state, however, that I'm very eager to get my hands on the new edition that's coming out soon.
