Just recently I posted a bid for $711.65. The bid was at $679.00 and a snipper came in at the last 13 seconds with a bid of $711.00. I won the auction because of the EARLIER bid and I was over his by 65¢. Had I just bid $711.00 I would have won because of the earlier bid alone. I think the 65¢ just put salt in the wound for the snipper because it let him know what my MAX bis was. Otherwise he could assume it was $1000.00 or more. All he had to bid was 66¢ more to take it. not a full increment.
