Also, if you are going to be serious about chipping, get yourself a copy of the Chiprack, which is the premier guide book of Nevada chips. It will help you to get an idea of what a chip's approximate value is so you can decide what your maximum price is that you are willing to pay.

Finally, don't feel bad about over-paying for a chip, we have all done it at one time or another.
