Re: Wanted Poker Table Layout
In Response To: Wanted Poker Table Layout ()

I guess it depends on what kind of poker table you are looking at building. I think some casino poker tables are customized to the casino, but I believe it's most common to have them with just a standard green layout. I have two 9' hold 'em tables from a closed casino, and they have the green 'speed cloth' which I think is standard on most casino poker tables (including I think the Horseshoe).

If this is what you're looking for, www.casinocom.com sells it in different varieties from $20 to $45 a yard. My poker tables have the 'card suit pattern commercial poker cloth' for about $23 a yard. If you are looking for one customized with a casino, www.gamblersgeneralstore.com might have them (I know they sell layouts of all types, some from closed casinos), but expect to pay upwards of $150 or so. You might also get lucky on eBay.

I guess it also depends on what type of table you are looking at building. I enjoy my hold 'em tables, but at poker night where the deal rotates around the table, it is often inconvenient for people at opposite ends of the table to reach/deal the cards. We usually end up grouped around one end of the table, with chips, various shoes, and other items stacked at the other end. If this is your intention, then you might want to go more like the octagonal Kestell tables (similar to the table built in the previous reply to this post) but I think you would be hard-pressed to find anything from a casino to match that size.

I hope this helps. Once you know what you're looking for, a google search might reveal places where you can get what you want less expensively.

P.S. I know you're probably doing this for a fun project with your son, but if you want to cheat, one of my hold 'em tables is for sale vbg
