In 1996 the Nevada Club was offered for sale for $6 million. I don't know what it finally sold for.

In 1995 Bob Cashell closed the Horseshoe, and offered the empty casino, plus still operating motor lodge, for a reduced price of $3.9 million. (down from $5.5 million)

You don't need to be a financial wizard to see that Reno is hurting now, even more than it was before the Tribal casinos took away more of the business.

Maybe it will come down to the last standing large modern casinos in the area.
