That's correct, it was you that had said "If".
The point and the FACT is: that auction would have resulted in the chip going for 1,600+ even if one of the two bidders were to have not bid that high. Simply because there was some one else ready to bid 1,600+ for it but got out bid before being able to place his bid. And thus the price would have been 1,600+, NOT a lot less than the 1,825
I’m sure there are other chipers out there that have experienced waiting for the last seconds of an auction to end only to be locked out of bidding because there bid was lower than the actual current bid. It’s an inaccurate statement to state that a particular auction would have gone for a lot less if those two people didn’t bid it up.
