You got that right! Wife and I had a summer trip to Vegas (WHAT were we THINKING?!? High 90's every day.) and I picked up a wide variety of standard house chips on the Strip and some great-looking fractional chips from the downtown casinos. I've had a lot of luck, for the most part, with "bottom-feeding" on eBay, running a search on casino chip category, eliminating the millions of poker chip sets and reverse-sorting on price, and have won a lot of nice chips at very reasonable prices. Right now I'm searching out the classic-looking chips that I really like, such as a Binion's Horseshoe $25 arodie mold chip from the 1950's, and taking some time to enjoy the hobby.
Best,
