I find I must thank several people for explaining the process to me and for sharing of their time in conversation....
Bruce and Donna Karli, Thank you.
Thanks also to Chuck, Linda and Merle.
For those who were not there.....
The first person in line git there at 5:00 am. I got there at about 6:30 and was number 25, my son Casey was 26. At around 9:00 am they handed out numbers, all the way up to 131.
At a few minutes before 10:00 am everyone got lined up and there was another count to include those who showed up between 9 and 10 (I do not know what that figure was). They then did some math and figured out how many to give per person.
That was four each.
At 10:00, everyone shuffled forward to hand-in their number, put down a twenty and pick-up four red-birds! At that point you hustle on back to the end of the line in hopes of passing through again. In our instance we made it and got in line for a third pass. However, well before we got to the front they were sold out.
I've only been to one other Hard Rock release before this and it so horrible that we left early and I swore I would never go back. However, in this instance I was asked to go as a personal favor for someone else, to which I agreed.
Interesting process in deed!
