Chips produced in the same run usually have the same UV in the same spot facing the same way. When a new run of chips is produced, the UV (mostly Hat & Cane) can be a different size, place and orientation than the previous run.

The most popular variations are the early Luxor $1 chips. I'm not sure where the count is on the different wording and "errors" there are.
