I personally collect and recognize all of the variations that you listed. In my mind, all are distinct differences.

The only one I have a little problem with are the slight color variations. My rule of thumb on those is that if I can easily sort through a stack of them and come up with 2 distinct stacks, then there is a variation. But, if I can find, for example, a light, a dark and several shades in between, then I leave them alone. There would be too many possiblities.
