The Review/Journal report suggests that the merger will enable the Boyd Group to gain financing to upgrade the Stardust to build a mega resort to compete with Wynn Las Vegas and whatever happens across the street. I like the aging Starduts; haven't stayed there; have seen shows there; had some great meals at their little advertised top line steak house restaurant; and liked the people.
