I just received a letter claiming to be from "Safe Harbor" at eBay and informing that my account had been suspended. The email of the sender was "suspension@ebay.com" Subject line is, "TKO NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension and some wording is as followes.
Dear eBay member,
Due to recent activity, including possible unauthorized listings placed on your account, we will suspend any activity on your account in order to allow us to investigate this matter further. If you believe that this action may have been taken in error, or, if you feel that your account may have been tampered with, please respond to this message so that we can provide additional information and work with you to resolve this issue.Go to link below and login to your account:

After responding to the message, we ask that you allow at least 72 hours for the case to be investigated. Emailingus before that time will result in delays...............
Being that I had been through this before I was really Pi**ed off that it was happening again so soon. Then on further review of this I read that the suspension was because of "Possible Unauthorized Listings on my account". I am not a registered seller on eBay so therefore, I can not have any "Listings" on my account, yet alone an unauthorized one.
I want to emphasize, from my experience last fall with an authentic suspension from eBay for security reasons, which eBay would not discuss any further than to say they believed someone may have compromised my accounts security, this message is extremely scary. It looks extremely authentic and even had wording that I had received during email and other communications with eBay last fall. All the way down to the signature of "Safe Harbor Department" at eBay Inc.
One thing that strikes me that was requested by eBay also, was that once you innitiate the investigation they ask that you wait 72 hours for your account to be restored and to "NOT" respond via email regarding the situation as that would lengthen the process of investigating and restoring the account. I think eBay should do something about this issue as it is unnecessary and gives a very bad impression that they might take so long to restore the service to their subscribers. Further it didn't make sense to me and had an air of making the whole email from them seem to be bogus. I was really getting confused about the whole authenticity the previous incident last fall if it had not been for all the popups that I would get whenever I got onto eBay and the notation next to my name ON EBAY that said suspended. I got so angry at this that I waited online for 45 minutes to get live help to make sure there wasn't some internal funny business going on. Without going on and on about all the bad service and communication previous to this that took several days through email, I would just say that after 45 minutes waiting for a representitive, the CS rep got me back into my eBay account in about 5 minutes. She confirmed my identity by asking some simple questions and then sent me an email with a special link to change my password. There was no real need to wait 72 hours etc. eBay should just let people know that they should deal with a live person and get the situation resolved. And work on that response time of 45 minutes for live help.
Another thing that I noticed after reading some information on eBay about spoof mails, I positioned my cursor over the link in the mail and note that the link was to, "www.atlastelcom......." Ebay has a listing of what an authentic eBay link should be. AtlasTelcom is NOT one of them.
Be very careful out there....
Just got a reply from eBay....
"The email you reported did not originate from, nor is it endorsed by,
eBay. We are very concerned about this problem and are working
diligently to address the situation. We have investigated the source of
this email and have taken appropriate action. You may rest assured that
your account standing has not changed and that your listings have not
been affected. "
