I live 2 miles from McConnell AFB, KS and in I'm in the traffic pattern (I LOVE IT!). Used to be all kinds of fast movers based here (F-4D's, F-16's, B-1B's). But now it's tanker city which is not quite as exciting as the zoomies.

There is quite a bit of transient aircraft stopping in for gas on a regular basis and they usually like to put on a show (High speed pass, buzz the tower, etc...)

I would imagine if we would have seen a couple more pictures after the ejection pic, we'd see that guy kicking that crash truck into gear.

Incidentally, the Thunderbirds were supposed to be at McConnell's open house the weekend after the crash occurred but the crash killed that off.
