To the best of my knowledge (which is pretty great) a very basic rule of leadership is being violated regularly on this forum. The one that says, "Praise in public, Reprimand in private."
All of the critical messages were posted publicly. the supportive ones were sent by private e-mail.
If you see some behavior in an individual you would like to modify, you have a much better chance of bringing about change if you discuss it with them privately in a rational manner.
Those who critisize publicly should know they have very little chance of changing anything. They are just feeding their own egos with attempts to humiliate.
This will just encourage retaliation. Everyone who has ever been involved a dispute knows that "When the shouting starts, the communication stops"
