"I thought the Hard Rock chip was pretty and I wouldn't mind having it in my collection"
I agree.
But:
There is a big difference between the HR NON casino chip and the fake casino brass cores that are being made. One member has been expelled from the club for selling them and a 2nd should have been.
Now comes the fixing of drilled clay chips. Somewhere along the line the board will have to go through expelling members for selling repaired drilled clay chips as the real McCoy. That old line about the purchaser wanting one fixed for his own collection does not hold water when he is having 20 of the same chip fixed.
1,000 clay chips have been fixed, (David's numbers}. Anyone want to make an over and under on how many have already been sold into the hobby as RARE chips?
If you've bought a clay chip thats also known in drilled condition, in the last 2 years, I reccommend you have it Xrayed.
Once again, like the brass core fiasco, sad days are coming to our hobby because of greed.
