There is a Hold 'em tournament this year and will be held at the Palms. I can attest that is is a lot of fun and beginner's luck can take you a long way. I took 3rd place in the 2002 tournament and it was the first live tournament I had ever played in. The only real hold 'em experience I had was a few online games on Poker Party.com.
