Just played no limit hold'em last night for the first time.

Heck that's the first time I have ever played poker in my life. No joke! Never was interested in cards.

What a hoot! I had a ball. Seven players at the table. Everyone was very helpfull as I was a newbie. How did I pay them back for their patience? I walked away with the pot. Bumped six players out. Go figure,

Took a lot of ribbing "How do you play this game..my ass". But it all came down to getting the right cards at the right time, and loads of luck.

Now I have the fever. Seems last year at the club convention they had a tournament.

Was this the same game I just played? Is hold'em the same as Texas hold'em? We each got wo cards, then a 3 card flop, plus turn card then river card. Little blind big blind and all that stuff. If this is the game played during our convention, then I want in. Win or lose it sure was a ton of fun.

Hope we will be playing this at the convention, and hope I am invited to sit in.
