I sure would like to see the eventual owner of the Horseshoe re-theme the palce to "Las Vegas, 1955", open a lounge for rat-pack-esque entertainment, and give the whole place the feel of what Las Vegas was in the 50's. It seems to me that given the genuine love peopel seem to hold for the "old days" when Benny used to run the place, the Horseshoe is uniquely situated to take advantage of such a theme. And, if other places downtown were to buy into the concept and have some retro aspects (specifically, the lounge shows (which I think some already do), it could be a hook that really helps to revitalize the downtown area.
Of course, since I know squat about running a casino, I'll just stick to teaching chemistry . .
