I look forward to some productive dialog with some key members of the hobby. A meeting has already been set up between me and representation of the Board of Directors in about two weeks.

I would appreciate input on topics before that could be areas for compromise in the controversy. I already see some possibilties myself, such as;

Criteria to be met by those wishing to have chip restoration or modification done.

Specific identification of what work is acceptible.

Required record keeping of work performed. Maybe even photo quality scans of the results.

None of this would please everyone, but in a democracy you can only hope to please a majority.

The Club Magazine could do as other periodicals do and conduct a reader survey for demographics and opinions of the responding members. This could be a useful tool for the advertisers as well as the Directors in dealing with other controveries.
