I appreciate your civlized input and feel you bring out a very good point.
In answer to the marking idea, at one time it was suggested that I mark the edge of modified or restored chips. I even went out and purchased a "W" die-stamp. To date only one person has been willing to have their chips stamped (Gene Trimble)and we never got around to it.
The brass core chips that I've worked on only amount to about six or seven dozen. The clay, composition or plastic chips are many times that.
Although most of my customers are members of the club, some have said they are not because they don't want the "burdon of branding" imposed on them.
