I don't know anything about the MM account that paypal offers but if your talking about your bank account (outside of paypal), it's whatever the bank allows.

I made the mistake of using my savings account for a bit and boy did the bank hit me with fees. They reversed them when I called and pleaded with them, but it can add up. I think that was due to a Federal rule or something.
