In Response To: Re: vbg THANKS, Andy Hughes!! vbg ()

it TWICE! You didn't get either response? sad

Here ya go, one more time......

Subject: I looked...

....and I looked, and I LOOKED, and I LoOkEd 'til I was going cross-eyed.....

1945 (most numbers were 4 digits, but a few were listed as RENO 2-xxxx)
1950
1951
1952
1955
1956
1957
1963 (even though most of the phone numbers were 7 digits by then...a few were still 2 letters & 5 digits, so I looked....)

In the white pages: No matching numbers under Rancho. Guy's Rancho Bar at 140 Airport Road was 2-2571 (1955 book).

In the yellow pages.....
I got the brilliant idea that maybe the place had changed names/ownership, but kept the same phone number. I LOOOOOOOKED for "6931" as the last 4 digits of any phone numbers listed for:
Motels Motor Courts
Hotels
Beer Parlors
Clubs
Cocktail Lounges
Boarding Houses
Night Clubs
nada. zilch. zippo. bupkus. :(

Closest number was Colbrandt's Flamingo....which started as 3931, and
later was Reno 3-3931.

later,
pam

p.s. Doug Deems has 1954, you might ask him to check that one for you (The white pages, anway! :)
