I do disagree with your assessment of the current Democratic candidates, though. I believe Clark has the best chance of beating GW in a head to head match up. He's the only one of the group who has any credentials in international affairs. If he can rise above the primary morass, I think he'll be a formidable candidate in the general election.
BTW, while he has been critical of the Iraq war (particularly, now, the failure to employ sufficient resources to bring it to a complete resolve), he has generally not engaged in personal Bush-bashing. On the other hand, one of the major criticisms expressed against Clark by Democrats is that he's been too "Republican" most of his life.
The fact that I know him personally probably does effect my feelings about his candidacy. Nevertheless, he is intellectually brilliant and has a high level of personal integrity.
