Got back from the Argosy in KC this afternoon. Here's the low down. The re-model of the casino in not quite finished but what is done is real nice. They've increased the size of the place 10 X.
Most all of there machines are the new paper in, paper out. I went to the casino bank and looked at their tokens, they were all the old style and in pretty bad shape. I did buy 10 of the new $5 Grand Opening chips, as well as 10 $1 chips. The $5 chips the gentleman took out of a rack and said they had never been used. He then sorted through several $1 racks and found the best $1 chips. I also ran across one older style $5 chip at the Roulette table. It is different from their usual house chip. There were also no dice to be had. They were only using Red at the Craps table and there were none at the gift shop. The slot machines were also pretty loose. Saw a lot of nice wins. Myself, first $20 I put into a "Wild Thing" .25 machine, third spin hit the progressive jackpot for $1288.00. Nice way to start. Now I've got money to buy more chips !!!
Anyway, the chips are up for grabs. I'd rather trade, but will sell for face plus postage. There are about 5 of the $1 chips to trade/sell. The others are already spoken for.
