Lynn and I would like to wish everyone a Great Holiday and a Very Prosperous New Year. We want to thank you all for your putting up with us and our ashtrays, pictures, and etc. It means alot.
We have collected in other fields and have never experienced anything like the chippers. All of you have to be commended for being the elite group that you are. It is truly a family of folks united for collecting Casino Collectibles. The caring and sharing that you exhibit is not often seen in many collecting fields.
We have made close friendships and great acquaintances. The CCGTCC is one impressive organization. You all should be very honored by what has been accomplished.
The contributions to the Ashtray Project have been beyond my wildest dreams and again we thank all that have participated. It is humbling.
Since, we are not Chippers, Yet, other than our virtually worthless Deadwood collection and my Pink Snapper that Campi gave me, it is even more gratifying that we have been allowed to post our trays, pics, drink glasses and matchbooks without being made fun of. Thank you.
The Ashtray Project is still very much under construction, but if you would care to take a look at the direction we are heading you can go to:
http://www.nevadacasinoashtrays.org/
The Tahoe section is 90% complete, the Small Town is about 60% complete. THERE IS VERY LITTLE IN RENO AND NOTHING IN THE VEGAS sections yet.If you look in RENO under "The Big Hat", you can get an idea of what each place will look like when the history is added. Even if you don't like trays, the pictures are pretty fun. All trays are thumbnailed, click on them and they enlarge. At the top of that it shows the owner and the grade. On the home page there is an explanation of how we grade and price.
We had to stop loading stuff up right after Thanksgiving, as my web guy, Floyd, had to have time to update his sites on Genealogy, which is his passion. Shortly after the New Year we will finish Small Town and Tahoe and then do Reno/Sparks and Vegas.
After we get the trays and pics up we will begin on the histories of the places. Hopefully, it will eventually become a great reference site for whatever area of Casino Collectibles you are interested in.
One other very important thing...If you were a contributor and you do not show up under "About Us" where we list all of the Contributors. It is not fully updated, you will be there shortly.
Again, our thanks, We are honored to have made acquaintance with all of you wonderful folks.
Mark & Lynn
