Snoaring Beagle Casino, Mt. Pleasant , MI
Condition: spotless
General Employee Interaction: Very pleasant
Dealer Attitude: excellent. I played with 6 different dealers and each and every one was a pleasure to play with. There were a few there that had a great time with. On Black Jack, lok for Foster: he's a blast. The BJ pit boss Amy was also alot of fun.
Comps: thumbs down (they stink) I played 3 1/2 hours at $25.00 a hand and nly earned $2.25 in comps. I inquired about it, and found out that they indeed have me in the computer right. I was tracked at 3 1/2 hours, however, because I am "new to the system" (signing up for the players card that very day) I would only be rated at $5.00, because it was a $5.00 table. I went around and round with them on this, but they assured me this was standard practice (for them). They also assured me that on my return visit, the ratings would be true to actual dollars played. This was a special rating for new card members on their first visit. Of course I asked them the question youre all thinking: "rating a player this way, do you really expect them to want to come back?" They also offered no "Casino rate" fr the rooms. They did offer a AAA discount though. The rom cost was $95.00 with the AAA discount for a king size room.
Ammenities: Rooms are very very clean, and decorated tastefully. no comlaints here at all. Two thumbs up
The entire casino was beautiful. Lots of amazing sulptures and art work.
Entertainment: Oh what one week can make. They really have a wide variety of music. Last thursday was David Lee Roth (of Van Halen fame) This Thursday was Andy Williams. Next Thursday is Freddy Fender. Talk about eclectic!
The poker room has been closed since last May, but will be reopenned in February.
Steak House: excellent
Weather: stinks (snowy and cold)
