I'm staying away from all personal battles and personality issues, please accept that. I'm trying to deal with the issues about the casino and the facts.
As listed on sites...
Never Opened. The casino was supposed to open about four years ago. With personnel hired and the casino ready to go the owner mysteriously died. Some say the owner, who also founded Uhaul, was murdered. The building still stands today on Desert Inn Road.
1) Never Opened. = Hotel did open, the casino never opened. So true, the casino never opened.
2) The casino was supposed to open about four years ago. With personnel hired and the casino ready to go the owner mysteriously died. Some say the owner, who also founded Uhaul, was murdered. = False died in a car accident, 5 months after he withdrew his application. (see the other links to news, it was a mess) Some say Elvis isn't dead, that doesn't make it true. Um Kay?
3) The building still stands today on Desert Inn Road. = true and it's going to be a 14 million dollar parking lot some day for the Convention Center. ps it has no casino but had a hotel operation for years.
About someone getting lied to about getting "all the chips" why does that remind me of something that happened to me. "Oh I didn't mean all the chips, I meant all the chips I had left..."
The stories from one site to another had the name of the owner spelled wrong, the same wrong spelling. Does anyone suspect they cut and pasted the same fable along with that?
I can construct a better timeline if needed, but the whole mixture of the casino not opening, time distortion and the owner mysteriously dying is a jumble of the truth and some conjecture to make it more interesting.
