See above message about the system disk. You will need to format the hard drive, which will clean out/wipe everything from you old system.
BEFORE you do that, you can Export Favorites and Import them to your new system, You might also want to do that with your ADDRESS LIST for email. You can probably move your entire email folder and sub-folders into your new computer. It's up to you whether you want to save all of that.
Does the old computer have a CD writer? Make a backup before you format the drive, even a file by file copy to CD can't take that much space. (don't backup software, just your files)
So many otions. Network the two computers and import you mail and favorites. If you have scans and files, you can move all of those over. But if you can make the CD that way you will have them, if you have problems and can have more security. Nice to have an old archive anyway.
I don't use it, but there are some email services on the web where you can leave your entire contact list and then syncronize the new computer and all your info will be moved back.
