a few thoughts:
(a) it is difficult for many general flea market pickers and sellers, who are not chip collectorsa or experts, to know the difference between a poker chip and a casino chip. Things will show up in the wrong category, and we will miss things.
(b) Even experts have such difficulty. Who would know that the chip pictured below is from the illegal Balinese Room, Galveston, Texas, is not a "poker" chip? Many crest and seal chips are like this.
(c) you couldn't bar all new or current chips, for then you'd be barring new limited edition chips.
(d) the club should tell eBay that at least large (50 chips or more) new poker chip sets from current stock can't be put in the collectible chips categories, that they must be put in category 19085 (Toys & Hobbies > Games > Board, Traditional Games > Card Games > Poker).
(e) in the meantime, we could all learn how to filter (exclude certain things -- see advanced search techniques, discussed recently here) eBay searches better.
