They aren't casino chips from a casino, but they are "Cleopatra River Boat Casino" chips, because those 4 words are actually on the chips. (Also, they are chips and not checks, but I will leave it to Howdy to distinguish between chips and checks <g>.)

I've never read the numismatic newspaper you are referring to, and am not familiar with their ad sections, etc. If I were placing the ad, I personally would be more specific about their fantasy nature.

In answer to your other post, I think the "Indian Gaming Chips" headline is misleading, assuming this is the Paul-son set with pictures of various Indian chiefs. The "Titanic" headline also sounds misleading, though I can't imagine anyone being that naive as to expect 4 genuine chips from the Titanic for $5.95.
