I think there's a good chance these will turn out to be from Havana, IL. Havana was a gambling hot spot in central Illinois. There is a "Lakewood Supper Club" that is still in business there today, as well as a Lakewood Golf Club.

Interestingly, the local library's web site there has a link to Ed Hertel's site. The link is titled "Poker Chips from Illinois, Including Mason County Nite Spots". The page linked to includes the Lakewood Supper Club chip. I'll try to contact someone at the library there to learn more.

Although there is a Lakewood,Illinois, it's not in an area that had much gambling as far as I know.
