I am writing this here because I know some of you are avid poker players and others actually work in poker rooms and so on.

With all the attention these days regarding WPT, WSP and the celebrity poker program that has recently aired on BRAVO, some friends and I have been getting an itch to start a poker game at one of our apartments. Actually one friend, specifically, has stepped in and offered to host a monthly game.

None of us have ever played in an organized game of this sort so I was wondering if anyone here can point us in some directions toward setting it up.

He figures a buy in for $25. What would be appropriate limits for such a stake that would allow a game to get established and going. Obviously it would depend on different games but what general, basic, limits would be appropriate. I would assume we would probably be playing 5 card but my friend did mention Hold Em (with limits, of course).

Any guidance and discussion on this would be appreciated.
