Thank you, Archie!

I appreciate the sentiment. And I do track anything that I find interesting... CA chips, CO chips, a Cuban chip or 2 (even though I don't collect 'em), and, yes, Atlantic City as well, which I do collect to some degree.

I wanted to keep my eBay vs Convention list down to a managable size for emphasis' sake, but for you, Arch, here are a few Atlantic City comparisons for you:

Dateline Tropicana, 2003 CCGTCC convention Auction, a $5 Atlantis goes for $50. I've seen a lot of this chip on eBay and it sells at a consistently higher level there.

Also at the 2003 auction a $2.50 Boardwalk Regency goes for a mere $100. The next two eBay auctions take place in the following 4 weeks and sell for $127.50 and $138.

Again at the 2003 club auction a $5 Brighton sells for $75. I've been tracking this chip for 3 years now and in 17 auctions, the average eBay price for completed auctions has been $186. The only one that's sold for less than $125 was one with a horrible scan that went for $103.

So Atlantic City chips are also well-served on eBay as campared to Convention auction sales.
