Welcome, welcome. For books....thats a tough one. There are many good priceguides. Take a look at the this listing that the has many books listed.
http://www.chipguide.com/books.htm
For specifically Nevada chips, I beieve the best is the Chip Rack. The new one should be out about the end of May.
"The Official Guide" nis an excellent well rounded book with nice pictures, but i believe we;re overdue for a new one to reflect more recent pricing of chips.
For Riverboats, there's nothing that even comes close to Greg Susong's Riverboat Priceguide. Greg also happens to be the webmaster of this site. In my humble opinion, Greg has the best graphics and layout of any priceguide on chips. Every single chip has an excellent perfect scan anlong with great organization. Its not so cheap to produce, but he's the kind of guy that can live on hambugers and diet coke.
There are specific books on about every area of chipping you can imagine:
Washington, Colorado, Atlantic City, Montana, Illegals, Caribbean, and so on, and so on.
A MUST have is the Gaming Table. This is a comprehensive listing of ever casino in the entire world.
Personally, I have these books in my collection:
The Gaming Table (MWK publishing)
The Chip Rack (MWK publishing)
The Official Price Guide
Black's Atlantic City Chips
Susong's Riverboat Casinos
Hertel's Illegal Chip Price Guide
Goodrich;s Washington Priceguide
I also have price guides on California chips, Playboy chips, Dutch Antilles Caribbean chips but those arent as important
