I was playing poker Saturday at Harrah's outside Chicago and someone at the table mentioned that there was some kind of meeting/convention/something(?) of chip collectors upcoming in Chicago. Is this affiliated with your organization? Does anyone out there know anything about it? How would I check it out. I've been lurking around here on and off and I'd love to attend something close to home before I pony up the bucks to fly to Vegas for your big blowout.

And yeah, I'm going to get around to joining one of these days. Somehow, to the complete and utter amazement of my wife, I've amassed over 3,000 chips in the last 6 months, ostensibly to use in my home games and tournaments. But I can't seem to shake my growing facination for these damn things. Buying more doesn't seem to help.
