I have heard of some of the computer problems. Those are the MP-36s being built by Motive Power in Boise(?). They are replacing the F40Cs. Incidentally a recent report says that the 2 of them that derailed a month or so ago, One has been turned over to the insurance company as it overturned and burned after hitting a switch way over speed. The other derailed, as I recall, lost a truck or two and hit the side of a building I think. That one reportedly will be repaired.

I got my first picture of one of those during evening rush at Lake Cook Road a couple months ago. They are kind of cool but they need to grow on you a bit.

That coming from a novice railfan of course. I have no experience with them beyond looking at them.
