Thanksgiving Day 1990: We were doing that walk up the strip looking for a place to have our turkey dinner. Caesars had a long line , 2hour wait, so did all the others. We came to the MGM Marina with the MGM lion in a cage out front of the casino( clue : the cat is out of the bag) We went in to see some of the tables being removed. It was now getting late for dinner. W
e walked to the buffet with no line & yes they had turkey. We paid for our tickets as they were closing. We were to be the last paying customers for the Marina buffet. The MGM Marina closed the next day. It was destroyed .
History : Marina Hotel & Casino 3805 Las Vegas BLVD S. opened 1975 sold to MGM 1990. Named MGMMarina & closed the day after Thanksgiving 1990
