Allan, they very well could have been. They were something else. When they played a number by any group they sounded just like the original group. They also had a large play list. To my memory they were on Guam the whole time I was there.

My tour on Guam was about a year leaving by USAF-MATS C-54b #45169 at 1830hrs, 23 Jan 65 but who keeps track? I took some rocks and dirt with me on the plane at least as far as Wake. It was a USAF custom predicated on the belief that if everyone took some with them we could eventually get rid of Guam.
