Harry Chapin really was a genuinely nice guy. I remember that he spent a lot of time working on humanitarian efforts. There is a Harry Chapin Foundation devoted to the issue of World Hunger. Other than his driving, I never heard a negative word about him. His most famous song is Cat's in the Cradle. But, my favorites are Taxi and Mr. Tanner. Without much effort, I can replay each song from memory.
