People will steal the weirdest things. At my business, when it was open, we discovered occasional strange things missing. A 45' flatbed trailer had the side marker lights stolen several times. In the shop we noticed strange things missing like a pliers or hammer. For several weeks we just thought that it was employee theft or breakage. Then one morning we came in and the microwave was gone! We finally figured that someone was breaking in every night and just taking a few things here and there. Police caught him about a week later in a fleabag motel in the area with most of out stuff still in his room.
