This is exactly what makes our hobby both interesting and frustrating at the same time. When a number or name or initials on a chip coincide with a known illegal club's, the natural tendency is to conclude that the chip originated with that club. But as you point out, that's not necessarily so. Or maybe not. <G>
Club Greenacres in Florida is another example. A very well-established club at one time, with only one craps table. But some VERY big players, and a lot of action. Thing is, we'll never find Club Greenacres chips because they only played for cash.
Oh well.
