I'm John's wife Janice. John wanted me to post to the board to let you know what's going on with him. If you could spare a few kind thoughts or prayers, I know that he would appreciate it.

As some of you may know, John has been dealing with Plantar Fasciitis since April when we returned from Las Vegas. At first the orthopod put him in a removable boot for five weeks. After that, he went into physical therapy for about three weeks or so. John seemed to think that physical therapy only aggravated the situation so he discontinued PT.

He went back to the orthopod who put him in a nonweight bearing cast for about four weeks. That came off a week ago. Ever since, he's complained of swelling and pain in that leg. The orthopod sent him for an ultrasound Thursday night which indicated blood clots all up and down that leg. The blood clots are unstable which means that they could break off and travel elsewhere. He's been admitted to the hospital where they have started him on a heparin drip. He'll be in the hospital anywhere from three to seven days.

I know that it would mean a lot to him to know that you're wishing him well and offering prayers on his behalf.
