On August 13, 1998, at the annual CCGTCC convention that year, I was privileged to have Harvey Fuller sign my copy of his great compilation, the Index of Nevada Gaming Establishments. This invaluable resource was published six years earlier, in 1992.
According to Mr. Fuller, Harold's Gun Club was located on Pyramid Lake Highway, outside of Reno in Washoe County. It opened in 1962 and closed on June 30, 1979.
Another terrific resource for all chip collectors is The Gaming Table. On page #119 on the revised edition, the following listing appears:
HGCC (Harold's Gun Club)
Pyramid Lake, Nv USA
Mold: DIASQR
Opened: 1962 Closed: 1979
Until now, these DIASQR mold (alternating diamonds and squares) chips were only known in this obscure listing. This month's special is your chance to add these previously unseen fractionals...a 10c chip and a 50c chip...to your collection.
