First, I think the Club should form a Hobby Protection Committe to protect collectors (all of them -- new and old, within and outside the Club, bulletin board junkies and not) from "fake" chips.
The Committee should complain to Paulson; the states of Nevada, New Jersey, etc.; the U.S. government and the chip collectors. The committee should lobby for an extension of the Hobby Protection Act to cover chips.
Second, I think Paulson and other chip manufacturers should be prohibited from making (1) reproductions of old casino chips; (2) fantasy chips with the names of obsolete casinos, and (3) fantasy chips with the made-up name of a casino ALONG WITH A LOCATION. (I suppose we can't/shouldn't prohibit them from making fantasy chips with just a name never used for an actual casino (like Cleopatra's Barge or Crazy Legs Casino).)
