The 14 hour drive would make it difficult for me Chuck, otherwise I'd do it. The easy way to manage image files is good image software. Adobe PhotoDeluxe works great for me. You can use this program to make a poor scan into a good one. I paid $50 for it, and will say that it's worth every penny.
