Well, to each his own, but I really can't stand these 11.5 gram chips. Horrible feel, horrible look, and positively hideous sound.
One way I look at it: If you buy a set of these for, say $150-$200, you have to consider them a consumable. I would think they'll have almost no resale value 10 years down the road.
On the other hand, I think a set of professionally manufactured chips can be regarded as an asset that should always have a good resale value. Especially now that PaulSon is out of the retail/fantasy chip business. It's getting harder to find reasonably priced large set of professionally manufactured chips.
