John....I sure wish we could trade "stack for stack" like the old days but I also wish Vegas was like it was in the 70's too but it looks like BOTH of these "wishes" have no shot at coming true.
Recording sales of high end chips are very difficult as no one in this busi, opps, I mean hobby, is willing to divulge this info. Just as the supermarkets set the price of our food and car dealers set the price of the cars we drive etc, etc, dealers (more & more) will set the prices of collectible casino chips.....a fact of life we'll all have to accept. One could have gone around the tables at this year's convention and had a eyefull of "Z" chips. What we need to stop the "Z"'s from continuing to jump by leaps and bounds is a 'realistic "guide" price' to help the collector AND the dealer put a sensible price on this material.
