Re: I don't have a TCR with me....

Don,

I guess you could say the following reason was why a new chip was issued for Imperial Palace.

"Gaming regulations change (add the state to the city on the chip, for instance, such as done with Flamingo Las Vegas)."

The newer chip has NV on it. The older chip like the one I have doesn't.

This leads to another question though. If regulations require chips now to have the state initials on chips, why is the casino permitted to keep using the old ones without the state initials on them?

As far as value is concerned. One is older than the other. So, it stands to reason that the older chip is more valueable. Although, I am sure it is not the case 100% of the time.

LE's chips being an exception. But, since the 2 chips are very simillar in looks, I can assume that the older one would be more valuable.

The only thing I could think that would make the new chip more valueable is it might have been made in smaller numbers.

In this case the older one is the more valueable one.

Still the disparity between the 86 at a value of D and the 92 at a value of B seems a bit wide for only a 6 year period.

I could see the value of the 86 chip as C perhaps.

Please feel free to correct me being that I am still rather new to the hobby.
