One of the first chips I ever picked up was a $1 Imperial Palace chip not to long ago.
It's TCR #8 N1789 Value: D. It'obsolete and was replaced in 1992 with N1788.
My dilemaa is this.
If the chip was replaced with a newer one, what is it still doing on the tables? I only picked it up a couple of years back.
Is it common to see a chip that has been obsolete for almost 10 years still in use?
I seem to remember there being quite a few at the Craps table.
If it still is in use does that affect the value?
$10 on the low side seems like a bit to much to pay for a chip that is obsolete but appears to be in use recently.
How much would you offer for it?
I have no intentions of giving it up. Just curious with all things considered here what it is actually worth.
