I also use Paypal, having started because of Ebay auctions (both buying and selling) and because as I don't live in the US it is the easiest way to send and receive payments.
I also agree with Pete - the money I receive from my auctions (both chips and other stuff that I no longer want!) sits in my Paypal account and every time it gets to a couple of hundred $$ I go on a little chip spending spree (mainly on Ebay) and buy chips that I wouldn't buy otherwise. I consider my Paypal funds as my chip money! May not make sense fiscally, but who cares!!!
When I started running auctions, some people asked what I could accept as they didn't like sending cash in the mail, and didn't like Paypal for whatever reason. I came up with some alternatives, and not one has ever been used (although occasionally I receive an MO or Check which I cannot accept, and have to send back!).
Of course anyone can skip my auctions if they wish, and likewise I (and you) can skip any auctions which we don't like the terms of, but now I only bid on auctions which accept paypal, so if people don't then they lose my custom!
Whatever happens, as long as you enjoy the chipping, what else matters
Jason
